Make Appointment

When you think you're ready to get started, click the make appointment button. This will allow you to register and/or take you to the Vision Online Appointments website (opens in a new window).

Booking Appointments Online

St Helens is proud to be one of the first practices in the country to adopt the new Vision Online Appointments system from In Practice Systems. It is currently in the early stages and there are a lot of steps to follow in order to use it. Below you will find instructions on registering for the Vision Online Appointments system and how to use it correctly.


Registering for Vision Online Appointments

You must be a patient at the practice in order to use this service.
  1. Click on the Make Appointment button to bring up the registration form.
  2. Enter your Forename, Surname, Date of Birth and Email Address.
  3. Select whether to recieve updates about Vision Online Appointments
  4. Click Register
Currently information is posted to your registered address. This helps us ensure all online registrations are genuine.



The Email From Your GP Practice

To Create Your Account

  1. Click on the Make Appointment button. Click Start Booking Appoinments" then select the Register tab.
  2. This will open the Vision Online Appointments Register screen.

  3. Type in the Practice ID in the required field. Note: this is case sensitive.
  4. Type your Patient ID in the box.
  5. Type your Registration Token in the box.
  6. Create a Username. This must be unique. If the name already exists then the registration will fail.
  7. Create a Password, this must be at least 8 charaters long and must contain at least one number or letter. Passwords are case sensitive.
  8. Retype the password in the confirm password box.
  9. Click the tick box to agree to the terms and conditions and privacy statement.
  10. Click the Register button to complete the registration process. You will need to activate your online account before it can be used.
  11. You will receive an email message, with a link to activate your account. Click this link.
  12. Your Vision Online Appointments account is now active. You can now sign in and proceed to book or cancel appointments.


Sign In

  1. Click on the Make Appointment button. Click Start Booking Appoinments" and then select the Sign In tab.
  2. Type the Practice ID - "j84007".
  3. Type in yor Username and Password.
  4. Click the Sign In button; you now have access to Vision Online Appointments.

Making Appointments

  1. From the Vision Online Appointments Home page, click on the Appointments tab on click the Link on the homepage.
  2. Select an appointment from the list, or use the drop down fliters to edit the selection.
  3. Select and appointment and click the Book link.
  4. Check the appoinment details and click Confirm Appointment button to complete the booking.
  5. You will receive a confirmation message on screen and an email to confirm this booking.

Cancelling Appointments

  1. Review your booked appointments on the Appointments tab.
  2. Click Cancel for the appointment you wish to delete. Select a cancellation reason from the drop down list.
  3. Check the details and click Cancel Appointment.
  4. You will receive a confirmation message on screen and an email to confirm cancellation of this appointment.
